Getting To & From Exhibition Park In Canberra (EPIC)

LIGHT RAIL

The stop you want is EPIC & Racecourse. Do not get off at any other stop.

The Canberra Light Rail is the easiest way to travel to and from the event.

Services run at increased frequency and stop directly outside the venue at Gate 2.

PARK & RIDE

Park & Ride is a stress-free option if you are driving part of the way. Park at Gungahlin, Well Station Drive or Lyneham, then transfer to a light rail service or rapid bus straight to EPIC.

Parking is free all day, with quick and direct connections. Refer to the Park & Ride Map below for additional options.

TAXI, RIDE SHARE & LIFTS

Taxis and ride share services are a convenient option if you’d prefer not to drive. Dedicated drop-off and pick-up is located on Randwick Road, just a short walk to Gate 2.

SCOOTERS

Neuron scooters are available across Canberra and can be used to travel close to the event gates. Check the Neuron app before riding to avoid no-ride and no-parking zones.

PARKING

There is no on-site parking on Friday or Saturday without a valid pre-purchased parking pass. Very limited parking is available on Thursday and Sunday. Please avoid parking in suburban streets, as parking inspectors will be active throughout the event.

Summernats is a guest of the Canberra community. Please respect local residents and businesses, follow all parking signage and avoid parking in residential areas.

Travel Tips

  • The light rail stop for Summernats is EPIC and Racecourse. Do not get off at any other stop.
  • Free travel is available on all ACT Government buses and light rail every Friday and Saturday from 6:00pm.
  • Spectator entry is via Gate 2 and Gate 7.
  • Check timetables before you travel, as some services may finish before the event wraps up.
  • Tap on and off using your Mastercard or Visa on ACT Government buses and light rail for easy travel.

Venue Entry Tips

The quicker you are through the gates, the sooner the party starts. Tips to get in fast:

  • Have your ticket ready on your phone. Screen brightness up, barcode clear and ready to scan. Printed tickets are fine too
  • Leave bags at home if you can. Entry will be quicker and your hands will be free for food, merch and photos
  • Use the right entry lane: Pre-Purchased, Platinum Fastlane, Buy on the Day or Already Wristbanded

Safety & Etiquette

Summernats is all about good times, great cars and an atmosphere everyone can enjoy. Help us keep it that way by following a few simple rules:

  • Look, don’t touch: Entrants spend countless hours on their cars. Admire them without laying a hand.
  • Respect others: Treat fellow fans, staff and entrants with courtesy so everyone enjoys the show.
  • No bad behaviour: Antisocial or aggressive conduct won’t be tolerated and may see you removed.
  • Kids with guardians: All under-18s must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Follow directions: Security and staff are there for your safety. Please listen and cooperate.
  • Drink smart: Enjoy the licensed bars but keep it sensible and stay in the spirit of the event.
  • Keep it tidy: Use bins provided and help keep EPIC clean for all spectators.

Summernats is a celebration of car culture, community and horsepower. Treat each other and the cars with respect, and the party will be bigger and better for everyone.
