Do You Have What It Takes?
Summernats entrants bring some of the toughest, wildest and most talked-about cars in the country.
If your car looks nothing like it left the factory and backs it up with sound and performance, you’re in the right place.
Not sure if your build stacks up? Check the Vehicle Guide before you enter.

What To Do Before Entries Open
Before entries open:
- Read the Vehicle Guide
- Set up or update your Street Machine Shed profile
- Add your vehicle or vehicles to your Shed
- Check your details, photos and vehicle information are accurate and up to date
If your Shed’s ready, entering takes minutes, not hours.
How to Enter Your Car
Follow these three simple steps to enter your car into Street Machine Summernats 39

Welcome to Street Machine Shed
Your one-stop shop for your entry into Australia’s biggest automotive events, including Street Machine Summernats, Meguiar’s MotorEx, and more.

Step 1: Set Up Your Profile
Add your personal information to your account. You'll never have to enter it again unless your details change.

Step 2: Build Your Shed
Add your car to your Shed (you can add more than one). It will be waiting for you when it's time to enter and event.

Step 3: Grab your entry
When entries go live, log in, select your car, choose your tickets, merch and add-ons, then check out. You can also add spectator season passes during this process.

What Happens After You Enter
Once your entry is submitted, here’s what to expect:
Entry Review
All entries are reviewed to make sure they meet event requirements. You’ll receive an email once your entry is approved. Approval timing is TBC.
Scrutineering
Any car taking part in Summernats must pass scrutineering in line with Motorsport Australia rules and the Event Supplementary Regulations.
Judging, Cruising & Competition
Approved entrants can take part in judging, cruising and competition depending on entry type and vehicle eligibility. Full details will be released closer to the event.

Before You Commit
Summernats isn’t a static car show.
It’s a live, moving motoring festival with big crowds and multiple zones across four massive days.
Know what you're signing up for:
- Live vehicles operating across multiple days and locations
- You’re responsible for your car and passengers at all times
- Each zone has strict rules and they’re enforced
- Unsafe behaviour can result in removal from the event
First-time entrant?
Thousands do it every year. Prepare early, follow directions and you’ll feel right at home.
Returning entrant?
Don’t assume. Check your details and documents before you enter.

Sanctioning
Summernats is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia.
This means the event operates under Motorsport Australia safety and competition regulations.
All vehicles participating in driving events must pass scrutineering in line with Motorsport Australia standards and the Event Supplementary Regulations.

Rules & Safety
ACT Police and WorkSafe have made it clear that everyone must keep their cool on the Cruise Route, as we always do.
If you do the wrong thing on the Cruise Route, you risk being removed from the event. Worse still, your actions could shut the show down for everyone, for a day or even permanently.
- Rip skids at Skid Row
- Do burnouts on the Burnout Pad
- Cruise on the Cruise Route
- Always wear your seatbelt
It really is that simple. Safety and behaviour matter. They are the reason this event exists and the reason it continues year after year.
Failure to follow directions or any unsafe behaviour may result in immediate removal from the event.
