Do You Have What It Takes?

Summernats entrants bring some of the toughest, wildest and most talked-about cars in the country.

If your car looks nothing like it left the factory and backs it up with sound and performance, you’re in the right place.

Not sure if your build stacks up? Check the Vehicle Guide before you enter.

What To Do Before Entries Open

Before entries open:

  1. Read the Vehicle Guide

  3. Add your vehicle or vehicles to your Shed

If your Shed’s ready, entering takes minutes, not hours.

Before You Commit

Summernats isn’t a static car show.

It’s a live, moving motoring festival with big crowds and multiple zones across four massive days.

Know what you're signing up for:

  • Live vehicles operating across multiple days and locations
  • You’re responsible for your car and passengers at all times
  • Each zone has strict rules and they’re enforced
  • Unsafe behaviour can result in removal from the event

First-time entrant?

Thousands do it every year. Prepare early, follow directions and you’ll feel right at home.

Returning entrant?

Don’t assume. Check your details and documents before you enter.

Motorsport Australia

Sanctioning

Rules & Safety

ACT Police and WorkSafe have made it clear that everyone must keep their cool on the Cruise Route, as we always do.

If you do the wrong thing on the Cruise Route, you risk being removed from the event. Worse still, your actions could shut the show down for everyone, for a day or even permanently.

  • Rip skids at Skid Row
  • Do burnouts on the Burnout Pad
  • Cruise on the Cruise Route
  • Always wear your seatbelt

It really is that simple. Safety and behaviour matter. They are the reason this event exists and the reason it continues year after year.

Failure to follow directions or any unsafe behaviour may result in immediate removal from the event.
