Tropical Meltdown returns to Cairns International Speedway for its eleventh exciting year. This one-day burnout event is the biggest and wildest motorsport party in Far North Queensland. It welcomes everyone, from passionate car enthusiasts to those new to the scene, to experience the thrill of tyre shredding action.

Drivers from across Australia bring their powerful machines to compete in three classes: Pro, V8 and Six Cylinder. They will battle for $25,000 in prize money and four tickets to the Pro Burnout Series. Whether you are competing or watching, you can expect nonstop smoke, noise and adrenaline-fuelled excitement throughout the day.

The Pro Burnouts line up is staunch, including Chris Orchard in BALLISTIC, all the way from WA.

WIN A RIDE in EPA WHO!

If you grab your spectator tickets online before midnight Wednesday 13 August and you’ll go in the draw to ride shotgun with burnout king Kev Davis in his beast EPA WHO, or score a merch pack worth $115. Get on it here.

SKID ROW

For the first time at Tropical Meltdown, Skid Row will offer a Summernats-style experience where drivers stretch their legs without the pressure of competition. All burnout entrants get access to Skid Row or you can purchase a Skid Row-only entrant pass, noting that your car doesn’t need to be scrutineered for burnouts to use Skid Row.

VIP PARK-UP!

The Street Machine VIP Park-Up is your chance to roll in, park up, and show off your pride and joy in the heart of the action at Tropical Meltdown. Whether you’re repping your club or flying solo, this is your moment to shine. From tough streeters to tidy cruisers and everything in between — if it turns heads, it belongs here. You’ll be parked up in a dedicated display zone with other local legends, soaking up the vibes all day. No judging, no pressure — just good cars, good people, and front-row access to all the burnout mayhem. The price? $50 until midnight Monday 11 August or $60 from the box office. Grab your spot here.
