Kynan Hall’s FG Falcon has made its first appearance on the dyno in the leadup to Summernats 38, marking a major milestone following an extensive build carried out completely in-house by BYE Performance in WA. Powering the car is a truly unique combination, namely 7.3-litre Godzilla engine, topped by an 8/71 supercharger and running EFI.
Kynan purchased the Falcon as a roller from burnout legend John Taverna, who had previously campaigned the car with blown, injected big-block Chevrolet power.
Keen to take the car in a new direction, Kynan jumped at the opportunity to acquire a complete Godzilla engine. After discussions with Justin and the BYE team, a clear vision was formed to transform the platform into a torque-focused, Roots-blown EFI package.
With the Godzilla engine being a first for BYE and the unique combination of the build, significant time was spent assessing options and working with parts manufacturers to deliver what was needed.
The team retained the factory block, crankshaft, and cylinder heads, adding aftermarket rods and pistons. The machining was handled by Harris Engines and then assembled in-house at BYE.

Some stand out pieces needed for the build include a custom 10K Technology gear drive and billet front cover, with integrated front crank support. Other goodies included a Dailey Engineering dry-sump oiling system, Crow cam and custom valves from Kavanagh Auto Parts.
Sitting on top, is a fabricated blower manifold by Shaun’s Custom Alloy, 8/71 BDS blower and a JBR carbon fibre hat.
Behind the engine is a custom Dominator convertor, with a Powerglide built by Welshpool Automatics, 2-piece tail shaft, shortened 9-inch differential and tubbed rear end.
Wanneroo Mufflers and Exhaust fabricated a set of 2” headers which feed into the current 4-inch exhaust system.
The FG finally hit the dyno and after running it in and the mandatory check overs, the Falcon began to reveal it true potential, consistently recording figures around 950rwhp, with a best result of 1037rwhp at just 16psi on the roller dyno.
