The 2026 Street Machine Summernats 38 is here! With a bumper field of entrants, tickets flying out the gates for punters and scorching heat, it’s already shaping up to be one for the history books.
Before we get into the full pace of the weekend, entrants need to go through scrutineering at GIO Stadium to get stickered up, so we headed there to check out the rolling procession of metal coming through, just like Liam’s wicked blown Gen III Hemi Valiant ute from Wollongong.

Ben brought this sweet 1976 Mazda 808 RX-8 down from Brisbane, of course rocking Rotary 13B power. “I had 13B Gemini coupe last year, but this year we bought a car that didn’t need much work,” says Ben. “We’re just keen to cruise Summernats and Braddon [Fringe Festival] all weekend.”

Chris undertook a last-minute build on his Toyota Corolla, swapping in a 304-headed Holden 308 and a T5 manual ‘box! As you can imagine, she was a bloody tight fit. “Oh man, a lot of bashing on that firewall, we had to knock that thing for hours!” Chris and the boys were inspired by Jay Duca from Low Standards, bashing out the swap in just 50 days!

We also headed into the Summernats EPIC precinct to check out some big new additions for 2026, including three new massive overpass bridges over the cruise route. These will allow easier flow for both the pedestrians and cars on the Aeroflow cruise route.

We have some cool stuff of our own to get amongst, including a massive Street Machine sign on the main oval behind the stand. Grab your car, come down and snap a pic in front of the sign and tag us!

There’s also two – yes, TWO – Precision International Skid Rows side by side this year, so twice as much rubber will be heading to tread cemetery over the course of the weekend.
We also have a whole stack of new merch you can grab from our stand, with four new tees, hats, stubby coolers and a whole bunch of cool swag.

The biggest news though is that for the first time in a few years, we’re giving away a car! We’ve got a sweet LJ Torana in the Meguiar’s Pavilion, which you can grab an entry to win which’ll be drawn on Australia Day by clicking the link below:
