Red CentreNATS 11: What’s new for 2025

Red CentreNATS 11, presented by LMCT+, is coming up fast, 5-7 September in Alice Springs, and this year there are a stack of new features and improvements to the program to make the show even more epic for spectators and entrants alike!

The big news for entrants is that the cruising ‘red zone’ for approved permit-holding unregistered monsters will be extended to cover all the big caravan parks – meaning that entrants can cruise their blown toughies from their accommodation, out to all of the activities at Alice Springs Inland Dragway, into town for the Fringe Festival or a Macca’s run, and back out to Lasseters Centre of Entertainment.

Speaking of Lasseters, it’s set to play a much bigger role this year. While it’s long been the venue for Red CentreNATS scrutineering and the motorkhana, this premium precinct will now also become the new heart of the RCN show scene, featuring The Shed car display – indoors and under lights – and the awesome show ’n’ shine filling the grounds!

Lasseters will also host curated shows with drag cars and burnout beasts, music, the Mulletfest, and of course, the Podium Party! Welcome to a mini-MotorEx in the Red Centre, showcasing rides from all around Australia in a cool new precinct!

Other new features for 2025 include dirt drags, roll racing and the Jetcor Bike Show. All the other iconic RCN events remain in pride of place, such as the Yeperenye Street Parade, the Pro Burnout Series, powerskids and drag racing galore.

DIRT DRAGS

A brand-new feature for RCN 11 will be the dirt drags at the National Road Transport Museum. The racing will be of the low-stress, high-fun kind, with a drop of the flag to signal go, and grudge racing galore!

MORE CRUISING!

This year, the ‘red zone’ for otherwise illegal burnout cars, drag cars and other high-powered beasts will be extended so that approved permit holders can cruise from all the big caravan parks, out to the drags and into town for a Macca’s run without needing to go near a car trailer. Win!

DESERT NATIONALS

Your RCN 11 ticket also gets you access to the Desert Nationals drag racing event on Wednesday 3 September. A highlight of the drag racing program will be the Top Doorslammer family feud, with Lisa and Daniel Gregorini battling Brodie and John Zappia.

MINI MOTOREX!

The indoor car display will move from its previous home at Blatherskite Park to a new space under lights inside Lasseters Centre of Entertainment.

Outdoors, the whole precinct will be buzzing with curated displays, drag car fire-ups, music, the Mulletfest and heaps more.

Ticket prices for spectators have been slashed in half, with early bird tix starting from $7.50 per day + booking fee, while entry for you, your ride and mate are just $105. Get on it here.
